A skillfully crafted patio can become the focus of a design or the focal point of gathering in any landscape. While many courses deal with the latest trend of patio construction utilizing the many fabricated concrete products available to us in the current market, very little information or training is offered in natural stone patio installation.
LOCATION: Virginia Thurston Healing Garden
145 Bolton Road
Harvard, MA 01451
Program Description
Please join us Saturday July 24th 9am-3pm
for our latest workshop in our Artisan Series as we learn and practice
our skills at patio building using natural stone. The workshop
continues on with the design being created at the Virginia Thurston
Healing Garden in Harvard, MA finishing off the hardscape work in the
area that was started last fall with our Stone Wall workshop.
The
workshop lead by Bill Parker of Parker Garden Design, will focus on the
proper design, preparation and installation techniques for setting slab
style Goshen stone to create a much needed natural patio for the back
space. Attendees will walk away with the knowledge and confidence to
create and incorporate these style patios into their future
installations and designs.
